Dataflows- on prem execution not supported for entity

Hi.

I have seen this error issue and responses in the community, but even though I followed steps provided by other users I still get the error. Error is : On-Prem execution not supported for entity 'xxxxx/SalesUserTable' since it refers to another entity.

In SalesUsertable as source I use another table, SalesSimple. Instead of directly getting data from SalesSimple I created reference table to SalesSimple, and took the new table as source for SalesUserTable. In subsequent steps for SalesUserTable, I do merge and append operations as well, with UserInfo and AdminInfo respectively. Instead of merging and appending original tables I used reference table of UserInfo and AdminInfo as well. And I unticked "Enable load" option for refereced tables. (Original ones are also disable load, except SalesSimple.

However, I still get the same error message.

I would highly appreciate if I can get help.

Hi, @slytherin

You may need to check your gateway settings to make sure your data flow isn't set up to use unnecessary on-premises gateways.

Try editing the dataflow and using the Power BI dataflow connector to add entities from another dataflow. When prompted to switch to Power BI dataflow mode, accept and continue. After you add an entity, you can delete it and save the dataflow. Maybe you can check the following post:

Hi Gökberk,

The workplace, where the dataflows are located, has premium capacity license.
