Dataflows not updating

Dear all.

Our dataflows does not want to update all of a sudden. Previously we had no issues updating it.

By trying to investigate potential problems in the queries of the dataflows, we could not even open the query editor. The following error message was received :

From another post on a forum we read that this could be as a result of a Multi-Faceted Authentication, but we do not know what this could be.

  • Hi Anonymous ,

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an authentication method in which a computer user is granted access only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence (or factors) to an authentication mechanism: knowledge (something the user and only the user knows), possession (something the user and only the user has), and inherence (something the user and only the user is).

A classic example of using multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a debit card. Not only do you need the physical card, but you also have to enter a personal identification number (PIN) to use it. A debit card is a basic example of MFA, but MFA should also be used in situations that involve relationships between third-parties and organizations. For both, MFA is great to implement since it is a means of controlling access to a network and keeping sensitive data safe. Currently, I can't found any Microsoft official document mentioned about Multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Thank you, Amy, for the insights regarding MFA.

Somehow our dataflows are back online and running smoothly.

      Kind regards,
