Dataflows - There was an error in the OAuth popup window

I've been trying to utilise dataflows in Power BI but when connecting to SharePoint on-premise using the odata i'm getting no luck.

Mostly common errors are for OData:

1. There was an error in the OAuth popup window

1a. This is when connecting to root level to an externally hosted odata connection point of the on-premise SharePoint solution such as https://sharepointsite.com/_vti_bin/listdata.svc and see below for connection

1b. I'll also try multiple ways such as using "none" for the data gateway  and using "Organizational account" for the "Authentication Kind" but still the same error stated above.
    2. I'll also try using Basic auth and this just returns this:

Ive also tried to connect directly to Odata on the power bi desktop editor and it works fine with the .svc link stated above.

Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous ,

For your first error, through research, I found out that the reason that the popup was not working is because there was an erroneous space or some other wrongs in the URL.  It appears the error merely indicates that the connection is not possible so I would advise a detailed check of your connection definition.

At the same time, your second error also clearly indicates that there is a problem with the URL you provided.

So I check your URL and find something wrong, this is the correct format for URL entered:

Power BI: Two Way To Get Data From SharePoint List / Library - TechNet Articles - United States (Eng...

So check this part  you entered,

This is the URL I test:
