Dataflow refresh unexplained failures

Ok, I think you should reach out to the Microsoft Power BI support team, they will be able to give you the RCA by tracing the request and Activity IDs

I guess your datasource is Google Analytics 4. The error shared suggests that the output retrieved from GA4 is not in json format. generally this error arises when an API request is failed.
Are you using the latest implementation of GA4 connetor? if not then please watch this video

Or may be you can opt for third party connector templates like the one below

Thanks for your response. I am indeed using the latest version of the GA4 connector, and I am also aware of the failed API request being the likely cause of those errors, but what is not clear is:
1) why they happened
2) more importantly, what the more recent errors are (those that are listed lower down, where just a Request ID and Activity ID are listed)
Thanks

Hi dazzl896 seems GA4 native connector still have some improvement margin. As a workaround, like the first response mentioned you, you can consider using third party connectors at least until there is a fix to the native connector. I've tried some options such as windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA4 connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your GA4 account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA4 fields:
There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
