Dataflow refresh issue due to upgrade requirements

A few things to check before spending money on anything.

First, confirm the workspace really is on PPU. In your workspaces list, the name should have a small diamond icon next to it. No diamond means the License mode change didn't actually save. Try setting it again and refresh the page.

Second, after a license mode change, dataflows usually need to be opened in the editor and saved once (Save & close) before they pick up the new context. Then try a manual refresh.

Third, this error usually comes from linked tables, not computed tables. Computed tables work fine on PPU. Linked tables only refresh if the dataflow they link to is also in a PPU or Premium workspace. If yours pulls from a workspace still on Pro, that's your blocker. Open the dataflow, look for tables with a link icon, and either move the source workspace to PPU or replace the linked table with a direct connection to the original source.

Computed tables and linked tables in Dataflows Gen1 require either a Premium capacity (P SKU), Fabric capacity (F64+), or a PPU workspace. A PPU license alone is not enough if the workspace is not assigned to PPU. Go to the workspace where the dataflow lives → Settings → License mode. Make sure it is set to "Premium Per User", not "Pro" or "Shared."
