This side of the test connection everything is fine, you can use the following methods to try to solve the problem.

1. Make sure the gateway is updated to the latest version

2. make sure your gateway connection can be used normally: use PBI Desktop to connect to SQL Server, create the visual object and publish it to Service, then configure the gateway in Service, if the visual object can work normally, it means the gateway can be used normally.
