Dataflow gen1 in F2 Capacity
Hello everyone,
I couldn't have a chance to test F2 capacity. Becuase I don't have it right now. So ı'd like to ask a question on that. With F2 capacity can ı use Power BI Dataflow(dataflow gen1)? I assume that with F2 capacity ı need to buy power bı license Pro or premium per user. After ı can use dataflow gen1 I assume.
I know with F2 capacity ı can use dataflow gen2 and greater than, equal to F64 can be used dfgen2 and dfgen1. But ı'd like to know about dataflow gen1 in F2 Capacity.
Yes, with an F2 capacity in Power BI, you can use Dataflow Gen1 if you also have a Power BI Pro or Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license.(F2 capacity and a Pro or Premium license, you can indeed use Dataflow Gen1).

Hi fabconmvp - if you specifically need Dataflow Gen1, you’d have to look at F64 capacity or higher, or at a Premium (P SKU) or Embedded (A SKU) capacity, since F2 supports only Dataflow Gen2. For users primarily working with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric on F2, a Pro or Premium Per User license is sufficient for dataflows that align with Gen2.
F2 does support Dataflow Gen2, allowing you to leverage the new dataflow capabilities in Fabric, including performance and scalability enhancements.
