Dataflow does not stop refreshing running for 10 hours
- 3 years ago
Hi All,
Finally its's resolved. I used the API to remove the dataflow.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/dataflows/delete-dataflow
HiSamurize24,
Sometimes dataflow refresh takes a long time, sometimes too long. Now with the new “Cancel refresh” control you can cancel the refresh when you need to, whether it’s for editing dataflows queries or any other reason.
The “Cancel refresh” action is available in the Dataflows page “Actions” menu.
Note: In workspaces that are not assigned to premium capacity, dataflow refresh may not be immediate. Dataflow refresh will stop only after completing the current entity refresh.
For more information, you can refer to this :Power-bi-Dataflows-General-Availability
Hope it helps.
Best Regards,
Caitlyn Yan

HiSamurize24,
If you are using the on-premise data gateway for the connection, then you can restart the gateway service, which will kill the connection. Or please try to disconnect from the data source.
Hope it helps.

Hi Caitlyn,
In total we had like 7 issues, the reset op the workspace helpt reducing it to 3.
-We are on premium.
-The data is not connected true a gateway.-We changed the source. ( even a blank query, with source= "test")
-We can edit, but not save changes to the query.
-We have reset the workspace.
Kind regards,
Prashand
