Dataflow connection using power bi gateway

I tried the solution proposed above and it didn't resolve my issue. I was also testing the connection using get data in power bi report builder and that did eventually work but hit a blocker that power bi gateway connection is not supported yet. Couldn't get dataflow to connect at all but I believe I would ran into the same issue on tool limitation so we decided to design a rest api for the dataset and connect via web api so we could take advantage of the transformations offered by power bi which was always the goal.
