I had same problem and finally found the solution for it!

Power BI service doesn’t support pdf connector. It’s crazy I know since it works perfectly on desktop.

So the solution for it is to configure gateway to the Sharepoint.

Here is described the gateway download and set up steps: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-install

Here on minute 8 instructions how to set it up and where to find it on to power bi service: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87SQLWdKdvE

Then I went to “manage connections and gateways” ==> “connections” and created New.

These are the steps:

New connection - On premises

Gateway cluster name - select the gateway you created

Connection name - put new name there

Connection type- Sharepoint

Add Sharepoint url

Authenticate with your organization user

After that go to your dataflow, open PQ, navigate to Options - Data Load - choose new gateway

And yyeeeyy refresh works!!!

Hi @Marcio_Santos ,

When working with the PDF connector on dataflows in a Premium capacity, the PDF connector doesn't properly make the connection. To enable the PDF connector to work on dataflows in a Premium capacity, configure that dataflow to use a gateway, and confirm the connection to that dataflow goes through the gateway.

If it does not help, please provide more details.

Hi !!

So, what you mean is that i need a gateway to get the entire data from the PDF file, specially the tables.

To achieve that i need to create a gateway inside Power BI Service? Could you provide more details for that pls

Thanks
