Dataflow Incremental Refresh failing to save
- 6 months ago
Hi AmazingRandom,
Thank you collinq for your response to the query.
The error MashupDocumentContainsDuplicateQueryName usually occurs when the dataflow mashup contains duplicate query or parameter names, even if the UI appears to show only one parameter.
For incremental refresh in Dataflows, the system specifically expects two parameters named RangeStart and RangeEnd, both with the DateTime data type. If parameters were previously created, renamed (for example to pRangeStart and pRangeEnd), or left over from earlier incremental refresh attempts, the service may still try to generate RangeStart and RangeEnd again during the save process. This can result in a duplicate name conflict.
To resolve the issue, please check the Power Query editor and ensure that:
- Only one RangeStart and one RangeEnd parameter exist
- Both parameters are of DateTime type
- There are no additional parameters or queries with similar or duplicate names created from earlier configurations
After confirming this, remove any extra or renamed parameters, keep only RangeStart and RangeEnd, and then configure incremental refresh again before saving the dataflow.
Thank you.
