Dataflow Gen2 issue – Gateway error although no gateway is used

Hello everyone,

Has anyone encountered this issue with Dataflows Gen2?

Context:

• I load data into the Bronze layer

• Then I use a Dataflow Gen2 to move data from Bronze to Silver

• During execution, I get the following error:

There was a problem refreshing the dataflow, the gateway version you are using is not supported. 
Please update to the latest on-prem gateway version and try again. 
(Request ID: 1a88b2d0-11d7-4c96-9b1b-8cc04b57d5e7).

Problem:

• The dataflow worked fine before

• Now it fails with a gateway error

• But I am not using any gateway in this Dataflow Gen2

Has anyone experienced this behavior? Could it be related to a recent update in Fabric or Dataflow Gen2?

Check if there's a gateway selected in the background. This might cause an issue. In your dataflow go to options:

then go to Data load under the Dataflow section:

If this dataflow doesn't need/use a gateway make sure this option is set to none. 

It happened to me once that there was an old gateway setup despite it not being needed.
