Dataflow Connection failed while connecting a simple CSV file on my machine with invalid credential.

Hi Community,

I have recently bought Power BI Pro and registered through an organization email ID created as xxx@xx.onmicrosoft.com. I have downloaded on-premise gateway and logged in through the same organization email ID. Now while in Power BI service, if I want to import a CSV file through dataflows, I am facing an error as Incorrect Credentials.

I suppose my selection is very basic and I don't find anything which I am missing during filling in these details. Since it is a local machine, I am not sure how the credentials might get wrong as I used similar organization email ID for login into Power BI and creating a Power BI gateway.

Please help.

Regards

Dauksh Shrimali

Hi ,@ DaukshShrimali

You need to  notice  that username has the format of DOMAIN\username within Power BI.

In addition ,if all the credentials (username, password, gateway ) are entered correctly, please check whether your URL is accurate.

Remember to include the file type suffix ".csv" in the File path.
