Hi all,
My reports use databricks as datasource, and I was wondering if it's ok to schredule a daily refresh given that it's in the cloud. Or do I need to have a gateway for it?
Thank you!

Hi @ROG ,
If it is a cloud-based data source, then you can not configure the related gateway, but you need to configure the credential information of the data source.
If you encounter problems when refreshing, it may be caused by the [BatchSize=null] parameter. Refer to the following blog for details.

Hello @v-henryk-mstf
Lack of clear documents, I have to ask this question here.
For a cloud based datasource, we can not configure a gateway. But the Power BI statement makes it look like we can select a gateway if we can. Below is the description in Power BI.
You don't need a gateway for this dataset, because all of its data sources are in the cloud, but you can use a gateway for enhanced control over how you connect.
Is it possible to setup a gateway for a cloud data source, Azure SQL for example, even though it is not needed?
