Database exceeds the maximum size limit on disk

Hi,

Could this error be caused by archiving too much data with incremental refresh?

Hi @kewaynes,

It does seem that your dataset has become large enough causing issues with data refresh.

PowerBI has a limit on the size of the data set that can be refreshed. Depending upon the Power BI Premium Capacity/ SKU purchased, there are different limits set for dataset size and refresh size.

I would suggest that the best solution in this case would be to raise a Microsoft Support ticket so that they can help you out in investigating the cause of this. There are certain configurations at the Workspace level like Large Semantic Premium Models and even at the Capacity and Admin level like Max Offline Dataset Size etc. that may have to be changed to get the report working. Best would be if you could liasie with your capacity and tenant admin along with asking Microsoft Support for the real cause of the issue.

Thanks Bipin. It did this error for a few days. However, yesterday and this morning I did a push refresh and it worked fine. So I'm hoping it was just a transient issue.

That's great to know @kewaynes that the problem is resolved. Hoping it was nothing more than a transient issue.

Please provide more details. Is this a Premium capacity workspace? Have you talked to the capacity admin?
