Database authentication method is now showing in SAP HANA data gateway configuration

Hi AD_SNOW ,

 

To my knowledge, authentication is not supported using Database when adding SAP HANA data sources to the gateway.
You can try to use Basic or Windows for authentication and you need to keep the authentication method on PBI desktop consistent.

Cool, Thanks Anonymous for your response. I have tried using the Windows authentication as well. But, I'm getting the below error.

Strange thing is, I'm successfully able to connect to the same HANA system using windows authentication via HANA Studio and Power BI Desktop as well. Facing the issue only when I'm configuring the gateway connection. FYI - Both PBI Desktop and on-prem data gateway are updated to sept 2022.

 

Not sure on what exactly I'm missing. Please help me on the same.
