Hi,
I've got a DataFlow configured and I set the refresh to 6.00 AM. This Dataflow is connected to a dataset and I scheduled dataset refresh for 7.00 AM to avoid delays. I also created an email subscription for a report connected to a dataset with a refresh trigger, so the email should go once a day after the dataset is refreshed.
And here's the problem: both DataFlow and dataset show the refreshed status, an email from a report was sent, but there was no new data in the report. I can see in the DataFlow table that new data has been imported, but report still doesn't show any.
Ideally you want to trigger the dataset refresh when the dataflow refresh completes successfully - for example via Power Automate. Then you have to wait for the dataset to refresh before your report will show the latest data. You can also do that in Power Automate but you will have to implement the polling yourself.
Hi @lbendlin ,
Thanks for the reply, however that's not the point. I can see the DataFlow is refreshed - meaning, when I look inside the tables I see new data. The problem is that the dataset and the report don't see the new data and I have constantly one day delay.
As I said - you are likely initiating the dataset refresh before the dataflow refresh has finished.
