DataFlow configure connection

Hello,

 

I am new in dataflows and I will try explain my doubt. I have a dataflow with an entity where I have loaded information of the last 3 years. I have also 3 reports (one per year) and I would like to connect to this dataflow downloading only the information the year configured in the report. I have found to options:

 

- Connect every report to the dataflow, download all the years and then filter locally in the report by a parameter in the report.

- Create one entity per year in order to connect every report to each entity.

 

I was wondering if there is an option to configure the connection to the dataflow in order to filter the information before loading in the report.

    Hi ignaciops ,

     

    Your demand is a good idea, while there is no such filter option when configure the connection to the dataflow in Power BI currently. You can post your new idea in Idea Forum , add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
