We are trying to connect with postgres sql which is hosted at cantos machine on premise server. On windows machine we have installed the power bi gateway and where database is accessable. This error is been coming from app.powerbi.com. Please help us.
i am also facing same issue, whereas i am using single gateway for SQL & PG, SQL Reports are working fine, but PG Connection is not working with same error.
There is a bug in the gateway installers. It is missing the npgsql ADO drivers. Copy them over from the Desktop install.
I have already installed npsql3.2.6 but it's showing same error
That is unrelated and unnecessary. You need to copy the npgsql files from the Desktop install to the gateway install.
Alternatively, use this https://github.com/npgsql/npgsql/releases/tag/v4.0.10
Yes Now I am Connected but My Data tables are not Showing
Did you uninstall 3.2.6?
No I have just updated Version 4.0.10
you may want to clean that up to make sure there are no residuals of the older (or newer!) versions.
Yes You are right, I have just updated my desktop version now its showing Data.
The problem is been resolved by using ODBC connectivity and its not related to the version changes. Thanks for your support.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on your description, it may be that the version you are currently using cannot match Power BI Service. You can try to install the previous version and then connect to the data source.
Hope that's what you were looking for.
Best Regards,
Yuna

Its not the version the causes the problem. Its something else that is creating the issue.
Which Npgsql version is installed on the gateway?
The same version we are using.
