Any help appreciated. Normally when data is being retrieved from an Azure Database for the Power BI Service refresh I would switch on Allow access to Azure services in the firewall setting for the Azure database so I would have cloud to cloud communications. Where I am working just now I have been told that Allow access to Azure services is not allowed to be switched on in Azure. My first though would be that as we are allowed specified IP access then have communications where I set up Gateway behind the firewall then use the open IP address where Gateway would retrieve data from the Azure Database down behind the firewall then push it back out through the firewall to the Power BI Service. Would this work or would the Power BI Service in the cloud automatically try to connect to the Azure Database as without using the Gateway for data refresh?
Thanks, Fully

As Azure is a cloud data source, no need to configure the Gateway. Please refer the below document.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/power-bi-data-sources
If you have the gateway configures, please try to enable the below seetings under the Manage Gateways.
Path:- Settings >> Manage Gateways.
If you have any queries, please let us know.

Thank you, the part that you show where it states "Allow users cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway" looks like it will accomplish what I need so that all access is specified IP addresses.
