Data refresh time estimate
Hi folks, I am curious to know the ideal time it takes to refresh and deploy a dataset with 10 million records (Intel Xeon 2.3Ghz 32 GB RAM). Is there any benchmark of the system configuration for th...

It can depend on the Gateway Server it is installed on.
As well as the bandwidth you have between your Gateway Server and where your data is hosted.
And also the larger the PBIX the longer it will take to upload the data to the Power BI Service.

Is this refresh in Power BI Desktop or via the Power BI Service?
It will also depend on what is your source is.
And then finally also how many data transformations are happening in Power Query?
All of the above could affect the refresh performance.

Powerbi desktop and source is SQL Server.
Its pretty straight forward data 6 dim table and 1 fact table refresh.

What difference in time it takes if it is Power BI service refresh, for the same dataset? For example, from 5 minutes to 15 minutes?
