We plan to migrate Powerbi from tenant to tenant. Several datasets are hooked up to on-premise databases. Datagateway is installed on the database server. Is it possible to install a second datageway on this server related to the new tenant , and after the migration remove the old one? Or can only one datagateway be installed on a server?
Solved! Go to Solution.
It is possible to install multiple data gateways on the same server, each associated with a different tenant. During the migration, you can install a second data gateway for the new tenant and then configure the datasets to use this new data gateway. After the migration is completed, you can remove the old data gateway. Note that each data gateway must have a unique name and must be installed with a different service account.
