Not sure why I keep getting the 'warehouse is suspended' error when trying to select tables for my data flow. I go into Snowflake and data is accessible; warehouse is up. What am I missing?

Hi @kdstash
But I have found been working with Snowflake from Power BI is that you have to make sure you've got the database name, the role name, the schema as well as you have that in your query in order for it to work. The error is not always telling you exactly what is wrong.

Hi @kdstash
The "warehouse is suspended" error in Power BI when selecting tables from Snowflake usually means that Power BI cannot establish a connection to the Snowflake virtual warehouse, even if it appears active in Snowflake itself. This can happen due to incorrect permissions, session timeouts, or Power BI failing to wake up a suspended warehouse. Even though Snowflake automatically resumes warehouses on query execution, Power BI might not trigger it correctly, especially if auto-resume is disabled or idle timeouts are too short. To fix this, ensure that the warehouse is set to auto-resume (ALTER WAREHOUSE <name> SET AUTO_RESUME = TRUE), check that your user role has permission to use the warehouse, and verify that no network or firewall rules are blocking Power BI’s access. Also, try refreshing the Power BI connection, reconnecting the data source, or using a different warehouse to see if the issue persists. If problems continue, checking Snowflake logs for query failures may help identify the exact cause.
