Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if someone might have a helping hint.
Situation:
We have large reports built in PowerBi Desktop. They all work great and the numbers are perfect.
Our local timezone is UTC +10
When we look at the report in PowerBi Service on the web, we are seeing an issue we`d like to fix.
Data for previous day is not visible in the report until we refresh the dataset at 10am.
e.g. On the Desktop PowerBI report, on the 30/11, we can see data for 29/11 at any time of the day (even before 10am).
However, on the web report, we can only see data for 28/11. If we refresh the dataset after 10am, we can see 29/11.
We do have many queries to pull data from many SQL tables, and all have relationships back to a CreateDateTable Date field.
My theory is that as PowerBi Service is in UTC, it is not aligning our local dates in the report correctly.
Any thoughts/advice on how we can fix this would be greatly appreciated.
I am completely sure about this but I read everywhere that the Service is just UTC
However... I have recently set up a new Premium Capacity and was able to enter a UTC offset there for my time zone.
