Data activator not working

Hi,

I am unable to create data alert using Data activator in powerbi service app. Everytime I am getting this error "There is an error in creating "My Power BI Alerts".

My report is published in workspace which has an embedded plan.

Hi @powerbidev123 - Since your report is published in a workspace with an embedded plan, ensure that your Power BI license is sufficient. Data alerts may not work in an embedded scenario or for users without the appropriate Pro or Premium licenses. If possible, try moving the report to a different workspace (Pro or Premium capacity) and see if that resolves the issue.

Not all data sources support Data Activator alerts. Ensure that your report is using a data source that supports alerts in Power BI. Typically, imported datasets and some live connections allow alerts, but certain types of live queries (like direct query) may not.

Make sure that alerts and Data Activator features are enabled at the tenant level by your Power BI admin. If the feature has been disabled, it will prevent you from creating alerts.
