Data Visibility Issue in Power BI Report via Gateway

Hello Power BI Community,

We are experiencing a **data visibility issue** in one of our reports, specifically the "DASHBOARD AND DETAIL REPORT." Our customer has reported that no data appears in the report when accessing it via the Power BI Service. The report is configured to pull data through the Power BI On-premises Data Gateway.

Issue Summary:
- Report Name:  DASHBOARD AND DETAIL REPORT
- Issue: Data does not display in the report for any users, despite data being present in the source.
- Gateway: The report relies on the Power BI Gateway for connecting to our SQL Server data source.
- AWS RDS SQL Server DB

What to do and How to Report Back to the Customer

The report has RLS. Therefore, you need to configure the user RLS. After you configure in PBI Desktop, you need to do in PBI Service too.

Hi, Thank you so much for your reply. I'm the power bi report developer in my team and I'm sure I didn't create any RLS for it. I shared the pbix file to my manager who has access to the customer's vdi, he will do the publishing. Power bi data gateway is managed by customer. My manager also didn't do any RLS. I'm still not sure what's happening.

As seen in the issue report has RLS. That's why you haved a issue which report can't be seen by the user due to RLS. İt seems the report from PBI has been done RLS but haven't configured in PBI Service. Therefore, you need to configure in PBI Service.

Thank you so much for helping me on this , Actually we dont need RLS, by mistake i had created it 1 month back for testing purpose, completely forgot it while doing other report related things and mistakenly have published it. I will remove RLS from PowerBI Desktop and republish it.
