Hi Team,
We have power bi report which connects to semantic model from different workspace
we have connected to this semantic model via OAuth as am updating password today do i need to update the password for gateway also.
I think its automatically considering password if we update the password.
can you guide me if you guys have different opinion.
Solved! Go to Solution.
If your Power BI report connects to a semantic model from another workspace using OAuth, you do not need to update the gateway credentials when you change your password. OAuth tokens are managed by the Power BI service and automatically handle password changes.
However, if a data gateway is involved using Windows or Basic authentication, then you would need to update the credentials manually in the gateway.
