Hi,

The dashboard published to service is failing to refresh, however when refreshing using PBI Desktop it works.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please download the latest version of Power bi Desktop and republish to Power bi services.

Then try publishing the report in a different workspace and refreshing it. If it works, you should remove it from the workspace where it was implemented and publish it again.
(Note: You need to delete this report and publish it again, not re-publish it from Power BI Desktop and replace it).

You can also see if this similar case is helpful to you:

Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error.

Hope it helps,

Deleting and re-publishing the dashboard worked. Thank you 😊

@Anonymous : Maybe you did not correcly setup the data gateway within service? What kind of data source (data base, flat file, ...) are you using?

@Raptor Data source is Snowflake. And it says that gateway is not necessary  since the data sources are in cloud.
