Advocate IData Marts - Ready for production
mike9999 I personally am very nervous that datamarts have not been moved to GA from preview. They have been ready for such a move for a while now. However, now with Fabric, datamarts seem to be in limbo. I am concerned that Microsoft has not taken them out of Preview because they are planning to simply never release the functionality and instead use data warehouses in Fabric. It's extremely concerning to me because I can't fathom why their GA has been this delayed. They have been stuck in preview for almost 1.5 years now. That's not a good sign, especially with Microsoft's change in direction to Fabric. It's possible that Microsoft deprecates Datamarts and they could justify it that it was never a GA/product feature.

Advocate IGreg_Deckler Based on some quick research - at first glance it appears that the Fabric Lakehouse view seems similar to Data Marts with additional functionality/features. Curious if anyone else thinks that the Lakehouses will replace Data Marts? I'd assume that Microsoft would allow users to convert their Data Marts into Lake Houses.
Anyone else have more experience with this?
