Data Labels that previously showed on Published Report now showing elipsis

Data labels show on desktop but when published online are showing an elipsis instead.

Previously the data labels worked online, no changes to visual or text size or report, but are now are showing as an elipsis instead.

This has happened across several reports and several visuals.

Hi @MiWA ,

Please follow these steps:

  1. Check Font Size and Overflow: Sometimes, when the font size of data labels is too large or the available space is limited, the labels might get truncated and replaced by ellipses. Verify that the font size is appropriate and that the labels are not overflowing the available space.

  1. Check Visual Size and Position: Check if any changes were inadvertently made to the visual size or position. If the visual has been resized or moved, it could impact the display of data labels.
  2. Check Data Label Settings: Review the data label settings within the visual. Ensure that the “Data labels” option is enabled and configured correctly. You can adjust settings related to position, font size, and formatting.
  3. Check Browser Compatibility: Sometimes, browser compatibility issues can affect how visuals are rendered in the Power BI service. Try accessing the report using a different browser or clearing the browser cache.
  4. Check Report Theme or Custom Styles: If you’re using a custom report theme or applying custom styles, ensure that they are not conflicting with data label rendering.

Best Regards,

Caroline Mei

Hi Caroline, thanks for the advice. I've tried all this but to no avail. It appears to be that labels are rendering differently in service than desktop since last service update.
