Hi @smishra99acres ,

This just means you downloaded the gateway, but you need to configure the gateway in power bi service to use it, and there are tutorials in the article provided.

  1. Download and install the gateway software on a computer that has access to the data source you want to connect to.
  2. Sign in to the Power BI service and go to the "Manage gateways" page.
  3. Click "Add gateway" and follow the prompts to configure the gateway.
  4. After the gateway is configured, you can add data sources to the gateway by clicking "Add data source" on the "Manage gateways" page.
  5. Select the type of data source you want to add and follow the prompts to configure the connection.
  6. Once the data source is added, you can use it in your Power BI reports and dashboards.

Make sure to follow the instructions carefully and ensure that the gateway is installed and configured correctly to avoid any issues with connecting to your data source.

Hi @smishra99acres ,

The error message you provided indicates that there was an issue with the gateway configuration. The error code is not provided in the message. However, you can collect gateway logs with additional logging enabled while reproducing the scenario. You can also check if the gateway version is up to date, as many issues can surface when the gateway version is out of date. If you haven't updated the gateway for a month, or longer, you may want to consider installing the latest version of the gateway and see if you can reproduce the issue.

Hi  ,

The error message "Processing error: There is no available gateway" indicates that there is no available gateway to connect to the data source. You need to ensure that a gateway is installed and configured correctly to connect to the data source. You can check the gateway status and configuration in the Power BI service by going to the "Manage gateways" page. If the gateway is not installed, try to configure an on-premise gateway(standard mode) to check it again.
