Apologies if this query should be posted elsewhere. We created a new Gateway we wish to use to access on premise data sources. We already have another exisitng Gateway. We wish to assign a an existing data Connection to the new Gateway; it is currently assigned to another Gateway. However, we cannot do so. The functionality is "greyed out", so to speak, as per the following screen shot. The userID that is trying to do this is a Global Administrator, so we don't believe it's a permissions issue. How can one re-assign a different (in this case, a new one we created) Gateway to a given data Connection. Thanks.

This is not possible, at least not by default. There is a hack to go to the semantic model's setting page , select the new gateway, and click on "Add to gateway" for the desired connection. But it's just that - a hack.

Hi @Anonymous
Thank you very much lbendlin for your prompt reply.
You can post these questions to the service forum.
Service - Microsoft Fabric Community
There are two types of gateways you can install on your computer: standard gateways and personal gateways.
And you can manage connections and gateways in the power bi service.
Add the gateway mapping in the semantic model.
You can try removing the data source from the old gateway and then adding it to the new gateway to solve the problem. This can be done through the "Management Gateway" section in the Power BI service.
