Dashboards

Is there anyway I can share just dashboard without underlying report since I only want this person to see filtered data?

Thank you!

As you've probably seen when you share a dashboard it also shares the underlying data, likewise if you create an organisational content pack which includes a dashboard it also includes the reports/data.

If you want someone to only have a filtered view of data, the best approach is to configure row level security on the data set so you can control which elements to viewer can see.

Details on this can be found here:

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-admin-rls/

Hope this helps

// if this is a solution please mark as such. Kudos always appreciated.

I have many live pages pinned to dashboards and, if the three dots are clicked and then go to report is selected, the user is sent to the report. The underlying data is still present, as I said, but the user can only filter the report. You can get to the report.

If you only want them to see the data I would suggest a screen capture as I do not believe it is possible to share without the underlying data. Granted, when you share the dashboard and the report, the reciever can filter the data but unless you are in a group and provide editing rights, they cannot make permanent changes.
