Dashboard on Website

Question

When a dashboard is embedded on a site. How can I set up for the dashboard to filter product; when say visitor's enter product # on the Websites search box?

I know it's possible because I reacently came across it.

The search box on the website. Basically when a project number is put into the search box on the website it deploys the dashboard to show info about that specific project number.&nbsp;
