Hi,
does anyone know if it is possible to auto update a PowerBi dashboard created in the power bi service when the data of the report that is used in the dashboard tiles is live connected to a paas analyses service in Azure?
my dashboard doesn't update... so I am looking for tips where I might solve this problem.
Hi @Vondelmol
Power BI performs tile refreshes for a dashboard automatically about every hour to ensure the tiles show recent results. You can change the refresh frequency to a minumim interval of 15 minutes under dataset settings > Scheduled cache refresh.

Thank you for the sugested options, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, not even after a day. The drop down is greyed out, so maybe I have to contact the tennant, is it maybe disabled? Although currently I can see that it says 1 hour (greyed out) so it should refresh? Or is the fact that it is greyed out another way of saying "disabled by tennant"?
Hi @Vondelmol
What's the state of the Keep your data up to date slider? On or Off? Can you check the refresh history to see whether the scheduled cache refresh started and completed?
In addition, can you perform a manual refresh by clicking the refresh icon on top right of the dashboard to see whether the data gets updated correctly?

Hey @Vondelmol,
Dashboards that are based on Live Connections have an automatic update about every fifteen minutes, so triggering a manual refresh will result in getting the latest data from the connected model.
Maybe you need to refresh your browser (clear the cache).

Josef
