Hi,
I am basing my team's dashboards on system of reports in Power BI, all connected to one major data set.
Since last week I enconutered the following problem :
Almost all tiles in all dasboards with are connected to the reports which are connected to this data set shows me the following erro:r
"
I tried to do the following actions:
Nothing helped so far,
Any advice?
Hi there,
Others and myself have been having the same issue.
I think it is an internal issue with PBI Service and have logged a bug.
you are correct in saying that F5 clears the errors, opening dashboard in new tab works also
Hi @Anonymous,
Could you have tried to clear browser cache? Due to I could not reproduce such a problem on my side. I would suggest you create a support ticket for further analysis.
Best regards,
Daniel He
did not work.
A suport case as been logged
Thank you
A. It didn't help at all.
B. All the users in my org are facing this problem - it is not something local
Hi @eranb,
It is a known issue now and it will be fixed as soon as possible, workarounds attempted:
1: Refresh to Brower Page could resolved the issue.
2: Give this specific user of this report permission, and refresh tiles
Hope it could help you.
Regards,
Daniel He
Thank you @v-danhe-msft ,
We are using the above mentioend workarounds,
but unfortunately it is impossible for me and my users to keep refreshing the page -
it makes the dashbaord usage not intuitive at all, and basically a nightmare
please update ASAP if there are any devlopments about oprional soltuions for this issue
I came across the very same issue that you reported within my organization, an important, widely distributed dashboard started doing the same thing you reported with every tile reporting that the report was missing or insufficient permissions. No matter how many times we refresh it, cleared cache, etc, we are not able to resolve. Were you able to resolve the issue?
I did find a solution in one of the forums:
"This error could occur because of expired cached credentials. Clear your internet browser cache by going signing into Power BI and going to https://app.powerbi.com?alwaysPromptForContentProviderCreds=true. This forces an update of your credentials."
This did solve the problem at the user level. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of users so it is still a very bothersome issue.
Microsoft, did you have any resolution to the ticket that you created?
