Dashboard Data Not Matching with Dataset

Hi,

I have built a Power BI report that is run from Excel spreadsheets in OneDrive. Each week I add updated excel files to OneDrive and refresh the data. This updates the installed version of the report and the online version. Both versions of the report are then updated and are matching. However, the only propblem is that for this to happen, I have to republish the report as a new version.

This is causing problems now, as the dashboard reports I have built from this report are not matching with the data in the dataset. I am not sure why that is. The dashboard tiles are changing, but they don't match the dataset reports, so somthing is updating them, but not the way I would expect! The only thing that I can think that is doing this is either:

A. The fact I am having to republish the report, as the online sync between the installed and online version isn't happening anymore (it did used to last year and my IT team recommended the republish option); or,

B. I am updating the date filter on the reports each time I refresh the data. The update I apply is putting the filter date to the current date it was changed on.

Any help is appreciated, as I have 42 dashbaord reports built and they should be going out twice a month.

Thanks
