Dasbhoard Links Behaviour

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this post as I experienced some weird issues with my PowerBI Links. I've shared two links (to different dashboards) with some users.

When they click on the 1st one, it opens their default browser, they land on PowerBI sign-in page, they sign-in and then land on 1st dashboard page.

When they click on the 2nd one, with the 1st one still open, and conection to PBI servers still active, they also land on PBI sign-in page, and when they click on "Sign-in" button, are directly redirected to either their favorites (if they have some) or their Recently viewed tabs.

The funniest part is that, when they just copy-paste the link (rather than clicking on it), they directly access to the dashboard.

Clicking on the 2nd link works as described for the 1st one is the web browser is closed (no active conection to PowerBI).

Any idea how to solve this ? Quite painful for end user experience if they need to disconnect or copy/paste links each time they want to access a dashoard.

Thanks for your help !

    Hi tom_simon,

If you sign in power bi service before click the shared links, does this redirect issue appear again?

Did these users means external users? I test to share with internal users but I can't reproduce the issue.
