Hi,
How to display string value as icon wihtout the need to create new field ? In my table, I have data with value of "neutral / positive / negative" . While I still want to display the original text, I also want to display as an icon.
I know there is Conditional Formatting to do this, but if I add again the same field, so there will be 2 same fields. After I set conditional formatting of the 2nd field to display as icon, the other also changed.
May I know how to achieve this ? original text and the one with display as icon side by side in a table.
Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
I see in that case you can use unicode characters.
SentimentIcon =
VAR _SelectedSentiment = MAX(Sentiment[Sentiment])
RETURN
SWITCH(
TRUE(),
_SelectedSentiment = "Positive", UNICHAR(128578),
_SelectedSentiment = "Negative", UNICHAR(128545),
_SelectedSentiment = "Neutral", UNICHAR(128528)
)
Are you referring to clickable buttons?
I have achieved this by using the new Slicer visual no fancy tricks.
You could also create something like below by creating a static table in power query and creating some icons with SVG's.
Also using the new slicer visual

Thank you.
It also means we have to create new measure, then. 😉
Thanks again.
