Is it possible to customize the left side menu of app i.e changing it to custom color,dynamically changing the content based on user role,anything beyond what app provides?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Gokul_PBI, unfortunately, these are the only settings you can change in the "normal" Workspace App as of right now:
The color options in the "normal" App are also quite limited:
Regarding "dynamically changing content", you also only can show or hide individual reports via the "Audience" Settings but can't further fine-tune individual pages or visuals beyond that.
The new "Org Apps" offer more styling options and you can tie in more elements (e.g. Notebook Results) but that feature is still in Public Preview.

Hi Gokul_PBI,
Thank you for the update.
As per my understanding, Org Apps support segmented access similar to audiences. They are implemented using App Access Groups, which allow you to control visibility within the app. This enables you to create Finance-only and HR-only experiences within the same Org App. If you configure your Finance and HR groups using Org App access controls, each user will see only the content intended for them, just as audiences do today, but with the enhanced Org App experience.

@KarinSzilagyi Is it possible to hide specific audience from one set of users.
I want to create two Audiences Finance and HR
Usergroup 1 -> Finance(Audience)
Usergroup 2 -> HR(Audience)
I see all Audiences right now if i open app and couln't find a way to hide specific Audience.
If you're the App Admin you'll always see all the Audiences (so you can test how different Audiences see the App).
The normal Users should only see the audience(s) they are assigned to - either individually or via AD-roles.
Thanks @KarinSzilagyi , Just tested and audience(s) will solve some of our problems, while things like custom color and redesigning app experience entirely may not be possible.
One last question, can we have audience(s) with org apps that is newly introduced?
