Custom buttons to export/share/print

Hello,

I'm publishing my report using the IFRAME option. The problem is, the user can't export the report since the appbar is not visible. Is there a way to create custom buttons to export/share/print so the user can do those actions while in an iframe?

Thanks,

Tuvival

Hi @Anonymous ,

Currently there doesn't seem to be a way in Power BI to trigger the export from button.

Only the below functionalities are present with Power BI buttons and trigerring an export is not here:

btn.PNG

However, you can try to tweak the Web URL(with respect to the url in iframe) and maybe perform an automatic export with button using the Web URL trigger option.

Also, if you are using Publish to web option, thie appbar will not be present. This is by design.

Give a thumbs up if this post helped you in any way and mark this post as solution if it solved your query !!!

Hi Anand24,

So, there is no way to customize the appbar that lives on top of the reports?

If I use the Secure Embed it will always remove the buttons, and I can't add custom buttons to mimic what those buttons do.

Do you have any samples of the web url that you are talking about?

Thanks

Hi there

As far as I know currently you would have to do this with Power BI Embedded.

When you say you are embedding with the iFrame, are you doing this with Publish to web?

Or are you using the Secure Embed?

Hi GilbertQ,

Thanks for you answer. I'm trying to use Secure Embed, but that doesn't show me the export buttons nor the other buttons on top of the report.

So, I'll need to use a Power BI Embedded to enable those buttons, right? Do you have any samples so I can see it working?

Thank you very much
