Hi all,
I have created a custom semantic model on a Fabric Data Warehouse and added a single user with All Permissions:
The first user is myself. The second user (highlighted) is the newly added member.
This user can see the semantic model once signed in, but is unable to preview the data:
Time has been allowed for a refresh of the permissions, in case this is a consideration. I have also verified that the error screen has been generated on the correct account accessing the model.
I can preview the data without any issues.
Is there something I have failed to do to correctly complete the process of granting access?
Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
Permissions at the Warehouse level (as opposed to the semantic model) were not correctly set.
This has been addressed and the issue is resolved.
Hi @AndrewWestran ,
If a connection to Warehouse used to work fine but starts to fail without changes in user permission, firewall policy, and network configuration, try these steps before contacting support: Check the status of Warehouse and ensure it’s not paused. Don’t immediately retry the failed command. Instead, wait for 5 to 10 minutes, establish a new connection, then retry the command.
Best regards.

Thanks @v-xiaoyan-msft .
In this case, the warehouse is working fine for my account but not the other with full permissions.
I will log this to support.
