Credentials no longer work in service
Hi All,
I have create a new user on our on prem SQL box, I have updated the creds in Desktop Power BI and report refresh works, when publishing to the service the credentials are dropped and when entering them again I just get a loading icon.
I am trying the Basic authentication.
Any ideas?

Hi. That's the way it works. Desktop and Service will ask for credentials for their own. It's a security policy not to publish credentials, only sources.
In order to refresh an OnPremise source like SQL, you must install a Gateway in a Machine that has access to the SQL Server. You can read more in here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-onprem
Once you have installed the gateway and logged an account. You can login at service with the account and configure the sql server source with its credentials in basic auth.
