Hi...I'm sure this is a noob question as we are a VERY small company and I have no formal training in PowerBI...just an old Excel and MS Access hack here.
We're using PowerBI only with Sharepoint online Lists to develop some insights on the data in those lists. I built the reports in PowerBI Desktop, I publish them to PowerBI online and then in the Semantic Model settings I set up Data Refreshes.
Trouble is, that about once a month...they all start failing. I assume my login token is expired b/c when I go in, reauthenticate, and hit refresh, it's fine again.
The question here is how to set it up so that the authentication doesn't fail. Do I need a login that is exempted from re-authentication via a group policy and then has read access to the datasets? Is this just something that I'm going to be stuck with? We use the same set of reports across many customers and this is starting to be a bit of a chore.
THANKS in advance for your help...
I am not aware of a workaround. You have to factor that occasional re-authentication into your processes.
