Creating a new dataflow to an SQL server results in duplicate connections on the gateway
Hello Friends,
I am new to creating dataflows on the powerBI service. Each time I create a flow to a SQL server database, I am prompted to create a connection name. I enter the same name I used last time and it creates a duplicate connection with a 2 at the end or a (2).
The credentials I am using to log in are the same each time. Ido not understand when the '2' connection is getting created or whey it is not bringing up the original (first version) that was created. Any ideas why this is happening?
cheers!
Peter

HI asbpowerbi ,
In the dataflow, why are you not just using the one dataflow and are creating multiple ones? That said, this is the name of the dataflow, so each time you create a new dataflow you need a new name and new credentials and new output. So, that part makes sense.
You only need to use the same dataflow and not create the same thing multiple times. OR, you can create one dataflow with multiple connections to different tables in it.
