Creating a New Embedded Code to Publish to Web - Power BI Service

Hi Community!

I am looking to create a new embedded code in order to post by Power BI dashboard to my portfolio.

In order to do so, all of the youtube channels have been suggesting to go to the Admin Portal and select "Allow existing and new codes" (as seen below):

However, my Admin Portal does not have this option:

(My admin portal screenshot below)

It says I need to disable Block Public Internet Access first, but then I'm not able to.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I feel like I'm missing something, since this seems like a pretty straight forward process.

Thank you!

Christina

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

In the image below, below 'Choose how embeded codes work', move the slider to the Right, and click Apply.  In this image what the choice means is to only allow embed codes currently in use, and don't create new ones.  When you make that change, the text next to the slider changes to Allow existing and new codes .

Azure Private Link is enabled if you look at the Fabric Admin Portal.

Prior to making any changes it is recommended to chat with your Tenant

Admin.

Hi @foodd

Thanks for the response!

I do have Azure Private link disabled.  Since this is for my own personal (business) use, I am the Tenant Admin, so I can make whatever changes need to be made.   Any other suggestions?

Thanks so much,

Christina

Great!  However, in your previous reply, the image and error showed

Azure Private Link as Enabled.   Are you successful in creating Web Embed Codes

now?

Hi @foodd

Ah, I see what you're saying now.

Unfortunately, I'm still not able to create a web embeded code and still receiving this message:

Wondering if the settings changed when the Fabric update was made.

Thank you!

Hi @GilbertQ

Thanks for the response!

I did try to go to the section of the Admin Portal.

When I do, I proceeded with the following steps:

Selected "Disabled" to Enabled":

But then received this error message :

Thanks again,

Hi @christina4444

Looking at your settings it should be able to use the Publish to Web because the blocking is disabled?

Hi @GilbertQ

When I try to go to:  File - Embed Report - Publish to Web (public) - this is the error message I receive:
