Creating Datasets in the Power BI Service
What's Microsoft's strategy when it comes to allowing users to create datasets on the Power BI Service (not desktop)? I've had several users that have uploaded data to the service and created reports from that data. Those users then come to me and ask how they can modify or transform their datasets. You can't, right? Or am I missing something? It would be fine if you could actually download a PBIX of the dataset and report, but you can't.

If we create a dataset in Power BI service directly, we can't do any transform for the data like in Power BI desktop. You can vote this similar idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/16389739-measures-in-power-bi-service
Currently we can't download pbix file from Power BI service if these report are created in Power BI service directly. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-export-to-pbix#considerations-and-troubleshooting. You can vote these same ideas:
