Creating Dashboards from Reports in Different App workspace

Say you have an app Workspace for Sales and An App Workspace for Marketing

Im guessing you cant have another App Workspace Area. Create a dashboard in here that links to Sales App Workspace and Marketing App Workspace?

So if you wanted to have a dashboard showing Sales and Marketing, both of these Reports and Datasets would have to be in the same App Workspace?

Based on my test, I am afraid you could not achieve this feature currently, I suggest you create an organizational content pack for different app workspace and you could have a copy of the content pack that you can change.

Organisational content packs are being replaced by Apps I believe and Im not sure you could have this in place using those

Ive voted for this because its a great idea but it looks to me like you cant do what I want to do which is to have reports in different workspaces and a dashboard in a differnt workspace connecting to those other workspaces.

That seems like a real shame because if you dashboard comprised of lots of different busines areas at the moment they all have to be in the same workspace.
