Hi Lihobday,
You are right. Taking your link as an example, it should be like this: https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/TESTONLY

Did you mean you want to connect to an online Excel located in Sharepoint? Please refer to this documentation. You need to copy the link from the Excel.

- Lihobday8 years agoFrequent VisitorThanks. Perhaps i should clarify. I actually know how to connect it already using O365 or sharepoint in desktop version. But from the power BI web version, how do i connect the excel data from sharepoint to the web version? Reason is because i want to have the data refreshed in every instant where there is a change or update in raw data. I understand desktop version has to be refreshed manually and not automatically.

Hi Lihobday,
1. You can publish the Desktop file to the Service.
2. You can try Get data -> File -> Sharepoint Team sites.

Thanks. I know how to do that but what should the link be? I seem to get an error msg when i copy the link over via teams or MS Sharepoint. Should i be removing some text from the http links?
