Couldn't load the data for this visual

I know there are many posts on this topic, but my problem is different.

My report contains 3 line charts. They are all working fine on my Power BI Desktop.

When the report is published to https://app.powerbi.com, the 2nd line chart cannot be displayed. And the 1st and 3rd line charts are still displaying correctly.

I am using on premise gateway to connect to my on premise SQL server.

The difference between the 2nd line chart and the rest is that it has slightly more complex DAX formula and it takes longer time to render on Power BI Desktop.

And I noticed that if I narrow my report date range published in https://app.powerbi.com, the visual can still render correctly. It seems that there is a data point limit or timeout threshold and beyond that point the visual will not render?

@keithpoplar You need to vote for this idea. Aparently there is a limit of 1000 points in line charts and you must be hitting those. I guess as an interim solution always apply filter to that particular visula using visual-level filter.

@ankitpatira Hi, I have some new findings and I don't think this problem is related to number data points limit.

The reason is that I have 3 line charts on the same report. They all displaying more or less the same number of data points.

But 2 of them are displayed correctly. If the problem is caused by the data point limit, all line charts should be affected, right?

Having a similar issue with the service.  The analyst that publishes it is able to see the information, but no one else from the group is able to see it (alll they see is the (X) and the subject message.  If someone else from the group publishes, they are able to see it, and the original publisher is unable to, and gets the same message as indicated above.

how do you overcome this problem, I am having the same issue, I am the developer and I can see the dashboard correctly on my desktop and online but when sharing the users are receiving messages instead of the visuals saying "Couldn't not load the data for this visual? ... any ideas how to fix this issue?

I am having the same issue. The report was done completely in excel so there couldn't have been any way that Power BI Pro content was used.
